JOHN HENRY SIMONS

John Henry Simons, 72 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021. Born in Bland County, VA, he was the son of the late Green Columbus and Leda Wade Moser Simons. He was a member of the VFW of Tazewell, VA. In his younger life, he enjoyed working on vehicles. He like watching western movies and absolutely adored his great-grandbabies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Louise Nipper Simons and 14 siblings.

He will be lovingly missed by his daughter: Wanda Hess and husband, Rick of North Tazewell, VA; sisters: Judy Simons and companion, Jo Ann Uscio of Ohio and Patty Ann Sleming of TN; granddaughters: Summer Hess and Autumn Brooke Plott and husband, Drew; great-granddaughters: Lilly Jane and Finley Louise Plott.

There will be no public visitation. Due to covid, the family will have a private service to celebrate John's life with Pastor Steve Branch officiating. John will be laid to rest at Grandview Memory Gardens. Terry Price, Jimmy McGuire, Josh Cox, David Ritter, Michael Hall and Donnie Totten will serve as pallbearers.
