JESSIE HOWELL RITTER

Jessie Howell Ritter, 74, of Abingdon, VA, and formerly of Bluefield, VA, passed away October 11, 2026 at Deer Meadows Nursing Home. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the only child of the late Roy and Margaret Alice Wilburn Ritter. Jessie was a quiet, private person and lived life in the same manner.

He is survived by the extended family of cousins.

Family and friends will honor Jessie’s life on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wilburn Family Cemetery at the Bailey Switch Methodist Church. There will be no public visitation. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 12:45 P.M.
