JANE ETTA LEFLER JOHNSON

Jane Etta Lefler Johnson, 96 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with her Lord Thursday, December 28, 2023.  Born in West Graham, VA, she was the daughter of the late Sherry Sherman and Maude Heneretta Summers Lefler.  She had worked at Bailey Lumber Company for a number of years and later retired from the Mercer County Health Department, where she served as secretary.  She was a member of Ebenezer Global Methodist Church.  Jane loved her church and was active in its ministries, including the Methodist Ladies Groups. Reading was her avid passion and she also enjoyed sewing and crafting.  She loved all animals, especially dogs.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Clifton Vernon Johnson and her sister: Nancy Mae Helton.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother: Randy Lefler of Tucson, AR; niece: Janna Jenkins and husband, David of Raleigh, NC; nephew: Jeff Helton of NJ; caregivers who were her friends: Jean Billips, Elmena Repass, Vickie Lott, Nancy Fields, Sherry Powers and Betty Swick.

A service to celebrate Jane's life will be held Wednesday, January 03, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Steve Aker officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Jane's honor to: Ebenezer Global Methodist Church or the Humane Society of your choice.
