JAMES EMORY SARVER
James Emory Sarver, 81 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 5, 2016. Born in Bland County, VA, he was the son of the late William E and Della Mae Williams Sarver. He was a long time member of Falls Mills Christian Church. Emory had worked as a heavy duty mechanic and was employed by Cole Motor Co, Tabor Machinery, Flavor Rich Dairy and ITI Transport. He and his wife owned and operated Little Sonbeam Campground at Claytor Lake. He loved fishing and spending time with the light of his life, his grandson, Jesse Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Riley E Sarver; sisters: Beatrice S Clark, Lena Mae S Gilmer and 2 infant sisters, Edith and Lucille Sarver.
He will be lovingly and affectionately remembered by his wife of 59 years: Maxine Muncy Sarver; his daughter: Vicki Lewis and husband, Randy of Powder Springs, GA; grandson: Jesse Lewis of Powder Springs, GA; brother: William Edward Sarver of Sutherland, VA; several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Emory's life will be held Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Falls Mills Christian Church with Ministers Frank Watkins and Terry Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dennis Elswick, Sonny Turpin, Dennis Belcher, Paul Baker, Jim Haines and Ernie Bowman. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Dales, Randy Compton, Ronnie Mathews, Arnold Crewey, Jonce Leedy and Frank Horn. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Mortuary.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Todd Smith, Dr. Philip Branson, Dr. Rowena Chambers, the Emergency Room Doctors at Tazewell Community Hospital, the Nurses and staff at Princeton Community Hospital and the employees at Tazewell Heritage Hall for their loving compassion and excellent care given to Mr. Sarver during his sickness.
