JAMES NEWTON MOORE, JR

James Newton Moore, Jr, 75 of Midway, WV, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.  Born in Midway, WV, he was the son of the late James Newton Moore, Sr and Sadie Bragg Moore. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends, Kenneth and Norma Dye and Don and Carol Nelson.  Jim attended Coal City Freewill Baptist Church in Coal City, WV.  Taking trips to Gatlinburg, TN was a favorite past time he enjoyed.  He had worked as the Parts Manager for Cole Honda.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years: Merilou Watkins Frost Moore; son: William "Bill" Arthur Frost II.

He will be fondly remembered by his daughter: Shannon Jackson of Peterstown, WV; sons: Dan "Frosty" Frost and wife, Kathy of Bluefield, VA, John Elliot Frost and wife, Holly of Knoxville, TN and David Michael Moore of Midway, WV; grandsons: Jereme Frost of Knoxville, TN, Justine Frost and wife, Hillary of Knoxville, TN and John Frost of WV; great-grandsons: Hudson Frost, Oliver Frost; and a soon expected great-granddaughter: Sophie Harper Frost ; special friends: Danessa Hardee of Mullins, WV and Helen Walker of Midway, WV.

In keeping with Jim's wishes, his body will be cremated.  A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date.
