JAMES RAY COLLEY

James Ray Colley, 84 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at his home. Born in Tazewell County, VA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Grace White Colley.  He attended Graham Christian Church.  Ray was a true Southern Gentleman, who was totally devoted to the love of his life, Nancy Earls Colley.  He was passionate about his family and was an example to them of what a husband, father and grandfather should be. He loved to help his brother with farming and enjoyed tinkering with the mechanics of lawn mowers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Claude, Junior, Raymond and Brenda Colley.

He will be lovingly and affectionately missed by his wife of 61 years: Nancy Earls Colley of Bluefield, VA; his sons: Randy Colley and wife, Lisa of Bluefield, VA and Dudley Colley and wife, Trudi of Germany; his siblings: Don Colley of Baptist Valley, VA, Tom Colley and wife, Ruth Ann of Abingdon, VA, Dorothy Baldwin and husband, Joe of Baptist Valley, VA, Ethel Stumpp of Richlands, VA and Betty Hurd of N. Tazewell, VA; his grandchildren: Jesse Colley and wife, Amanda of Montpelier, VA, Alex Colley of Chester, VA, Mark Colley and Christopher Colley both of Germany; great-grandsons, who were the apple of Ray's eye: Jacob, Jericho and Joseph Colley and Jaxon Coonley.

A memorial service to celebrate Ray's life will be held Saturday February 4th at Graham Christain Church at 2:00 PM with Rev, Gary Lyons and Pastor Bobby White officiating, Friend's may visit with the family from 1:00 PM till the hour of service.
