Jackie Woodrow ("Jack") Poe, 75, Grapefield Road, Bastian, VA, passed away February 9, 2019, in Reston, VA.

Jack was the son of the late Blake Ballard (Jack) Poe and the late Nada Lammie Poe. He was a machinist, employed at Coppinger's and Eimco. He was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Bastian, VA. He was also a proud Vietnam-era veteran serving in the U.S. Army. "Poejack" as he was affectionately referred to by his friends enjoyed tinkering in his garage and riding his John Deere tractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Lois Poe; brothers, Charles, Bill, and Roy Poe.

He is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Frances Wilburn Poe; (step)son Jeffrey Light (Kristine Heefner) of Aldie, VA, granddaughters, Megan Light of Tampa FL, Amanda Storey Light of Tampa FL, and Allison Heefner of Aldie, VA; brothers, Russell (Ann) Poe and Roger (Cathy) Poe of Bluefield, WV; sister-in-law Vangie Poe of Bluefield, WV; and aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held Saturday. February 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alan Ashworth officiating. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Dudley Memorial from 6-8 P.M.
