JACK E. COLOBRO

Jack E. Colobro, 82 of Bramwell, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022.  Born and raised in Kimball, WV, he was the son of the late Jack and Mary Colobro.  He was a graduate of Bluefield State and Marshall University.  He was a school teacher in McDowell and Mercer County for over 30 years.  He was an avid sports fan and coach for many years.  Jack was inducted into the McDowell County Sports Hall of Fame in 2016 for his outstanding coaching career at Elkhorn Junior High. Jack was a proud veteran, serving his county in the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Lewis Colobro, son, Johnny Colobro and special aunt, Francis Colobro, who raised him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Jacquelyn Hicks (James); sister: Anna Mercanti (Gus); grandchildren: Samantha and Garrett Hicks, Anthony Colobro (Demi), Kaleigh and Gia Colobro; great-granddaughter: Aaliyah Colobro.

In keeping with his wishes, Jack's body will be cremated.  A service of remembrance is being planned by Jack's friends and will be announced when the details are finalized.
