IRENE ELIZABETH ASHLEY STEPHENS

Irene Elizabeth Ashley Stephens, 88 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020. Born in Suffolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Virginia Powell. She was a charter member of the United Congregational Christian Church, where she was the organist. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch and boating, sail and power. Irene and her husband, Ron had traveled extensively in their retirement, and enjoyed spending time with one another. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, and siblings, Mary Frances and Ben Powell.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her husband of 65 years: Ronald Stephens of Bluefield, VA.

A graveside service to celebrate Irene's life will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at Dudley Memorial from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
