HOWARD JESS ANDERSON

Howard Jess Anderson, 82 of Princeton, WV, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020. Born in English, WV, he was the son of the late John and Juanita Yopp Anderson. He had worked for Flowers Bakery and had served our country in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Howard was a simple man, loving his family with a passion and putting them and others before himself. He was also an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Muriel "Jackie" Austin Anderson; son-in-law: Greg Gills.

He will be lovingly and affectionately missed by his children: Jerry Mercer and wife, Anne of Bastian, VA and Judy Mercer Harless and husband, Tom of Bluefield, WV; siblings: Roger Anderson of AL, Frankie Anderson and wife, Carol of FL, Janice Wert and husband, Jim of SC and Elwood Porshia and wife, Karen of VA; grandchildren: Traci Muncy and husband, Shea, Tonia Hunter and husband, Gabriel, Gregory Gills and wife, Kristy, Christopher Mercer, Angela Peters and husband, Chad and Jacob Mercer and wife, Jenna; 13 great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate Howard's life will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Chris Roberts officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Roselawn by 11:45 A.M.
