GLORIA VANETTE CONLEY

Gloria Vanette Conley, 77 of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with her Lord Saturday, May 25, 2024 surrounded by her family.  Born in Abingdon, VA, she was the daughter of the late Horace Jefferson and Jacqueline LeGrande Campbell Gregory.  She had worked for Cumberland Mountain Community Service Board as an in-home caregiver and also for Walmart as a Department Manager, where she retired after 16 years of service.  She was a faithful member of Point of Contact Ministry for over 40 years.  She loved her many fur babies and enjoyed traveling.  Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was the main priority in her life.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 plus years: William Douglas Conley, Sr; her brother: Michael Anthony Gregory.

She will be lovingly missed by her children: William Douglas Conley, Jr and wife, Nancy of Galloway, NJ and Angela Beth Thomason and husband, Brian of Bluefield, WV; her sisters: Cathy Etter and husband, James of Bluefield, WV and Lisa Rose of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren: Brian Chase Thomason and Kiersten Nichelle Thomason; special niece: Tierney Rose.

A service to celebrate Gloria's life will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Lisa Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV.  Pallbearers will be Russ Bailey, Michael Gregory, Brian Chase Thomason, Kaleb McKenzie, Mark Kinder and Chad Hall.  Honorary pallbearers will be James Etter and Matt Etter.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Following the service on Friday and throughout the coming week, the family may be reached at the home of Gloria's sister, Lisa Rose, 2039 Lee Avenue, Bluefield, VA.
