GLENN TATE DUDLEY

Glenn Tate Dudley, 86, of Bluefield, VA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.  Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late James Glenn and Eula Tate Dudley.  He was a graduate of Graham High School.  He attended Emory & Henry College and then Bluefield State College where he finished classes for his Bachelor's Degree in Education.  He then went on to Cincinnati College of Embalming and received his Funeral Director's License.  In 1952, Glenn's dad, James Glenn, established Dudley Memorial Mortuary in the existing Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Glenn became owner and operator in the 60's.  For a period of time, Glenn and his wife, Judy, lived in Florida, where he enjoyed playing golf with friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Lee "Judy" Peters Dudley, and a brother-in-law, Bobbie Garian.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Kevin Dudley and his wife, Jeani and Glenna Gaboriult all of Bluefield, VA; brother: Jimmy Dudley and wife, Kay of Bluefield, VA; sister: Martha Ann Garian of Richmond, VA; grandchildren: Madelyn Dudley, Catron Holland and husband, Stevie, Kevin Gaboriult and Steven Gaboriult.

A service to celebrate Glenn's life will be held Sunday, November 02, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gary Lyons officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.

The family will have a private burial at Maple Hill at a later date.
