GILDA LOUISE FRYE

Gilda Louise Frye, 88 of West Chester, PA and formerly of Bluefield, VA, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Sunrise Senior Living, West Chester, PA. Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Shelton and Zora Bond Goforth. She retired from National Electric Coil Company, where she worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist. She was a member of Graham Christian Church. Gilda loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed life, never meeting a stranger. Playing cards, board games and working in her flower garden were among the things she enjoyed doing in her spare time.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sheila Harrison and husband, Phil of Landenberg, PA and Tina Roland and husband, Jeff of Salisbury, NC; grandchildren: Stefani Peterson and husband, Logan, Staci Harrison, Chris Harrison and wife, Becky, Sara Maddox and husband, Warren, Justin Roland and wife, Elysia; great-grandchildren: Audrey Pettingill, Mackenzie and Haylee Peterson, Zora and Elena Maddox; brother: Willard Goforth and wife, Doris Ann of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a host of cousins.

A service to celebrate Gilda's life will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Michael Gallimore officiating. Burial will follow at Monte-Vista Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at Dudley Memorial from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
