GEORGE DONALD LEEDY

George Donald Leedy, 71, of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, July 01, 2023.  Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Ralph Leedy and Mary Frances Marsh Leedy.  He was an electronics technician for various businesses in the area.  George attended Zion Hill Baptist Church.  He had been a member of the Rotary Club and the East River Amateur Radio Club.  George was a stickler for maintaining his vehicle.  He loved a new, nice pair of suspenders and working on anything that was electronic in nature.  George enjoyed the fellowship that surrounded a good meal.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Lynn Herald Leedy and an infant brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Brian Leedy and his wife, Joanie of Bluefield, VA and Kevin Leedy and wife, Kelly of Bluefield, VA; siblings: Clyde Leedy and wife, Pam of Princeton, WV and Joan Wright and husband, Herb of Falls Mills, VA; grandchildren: Ethan, Morgan and Gavan Leedy and Kyle, Kade and Kora Leedy; special friend: Linda Rolen of High Point, NC.

A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held Friday, July 07, 2023 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Rick Stacy officiating. His cremains will be entombed at Grandview Memory Mausoleum at a later date.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
