GEORGE RONALD ANGLES

George Ronald Angles, 72 of Bluefield, WV, passed away Sunday, March 06, 2022 at Highlands ARH Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late George S. and Laura M. Lawson Angles.  He had served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a member of the VFW in Wytheville, VA.  George liked to collect knives and loved to hunt and fish.  He was a truck driver, an occupation he truly enjoyed.  He had a strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ and shared this with his family in conversations they shared.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Maxine Price, Eugene, Jimmy, J.C. and Charles Angles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 50 years: Virginia Akers Angles; his daughters: Susan Jessee and husband, Kelly of Springville, VA, Janet Angles and companion, Mike Carter of Bluefield, VA, Georgegina "Gina" Angles of Huntington, WV and Mindy Angles Belcher; sisters: Debra Bailey of Falls Mills, VA and Janice Pugh of Bluefield, WV; grandchildren: Benjamin Jessee and wife, Emily, Matthew Jessee, Jeremy Angle and wife, Lauren, Bryan Rowlett and companion, Casey Oliver, Hope Looney, Faith Looney and Charity Sparks; son-in-law: Mark Looney of Bluefield, VA.

His body will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate George's life will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at The Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery in Dublin, VA. If you wish to attend the service of memorial, please join the family at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M. Friday morning.
