GENEVA LOUISE SHUMATE

Geneva Louise Shumate, 90, of Justin Lane, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022.  Born on September 19, 1932 in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley Dillow and Ruby Williams Dillow.  She was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Alfred Leroy Shumate, 2 sisters, Margaret Chastain and Geraldine McCall and 1 brother, Billy Dillow.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Gloria Jean Dilts and husband, Steve of Rocky Gap, VA and her loving cat, Hotshot and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Shumate Family Cemetery on John Nash Boulevard, Bluefield, WV with Father Mark Tyson officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 12:45 P.M.
