GENE RICHARD BENNETT, JR
Gene Richard Bennett, Jr, 53, of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Thursday, August 03, 2017 at his home. Born in Michigan, he was the son of Gene Richard Bennett, Sr of Austin, TX and the late Maryanne, Verbanes Bennett. Gene had a heart of gold. He loved music and playing his guitar. Fishing and hunting were a few of the things he enjoyed doing. He loved his fur babies, Stanley and Sophie.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his nephew: Lawrence Bradley Barwick.
He will be lovingly and affectionately missed by his father: Gene Bennett, Sr and his wife, Alice of Austin, TX; sisters: Lynda Turpin of N. Tazewell, VA, Terri Barwick of Mt. Olive, NC and Robin Phillips of Ward, Arkansas; nieces and nephews: Suzanne Beckner, Sarah Wiggins and husband, Matt, Jimmy Holcomb and wife, Kendra, Shaun Phillips and wife, Karleen; son: Patrick Howell of Dudley, NC; and a cherished extended family.
In keeping with his wishes, Gene has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dudley Memorial is serving the Bennett family.
