Freddie Cecil Vanhoozer

Freddie Cecil Vanhoozer passed away on August 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and the love of family who will forever cherish him.


Freddie proudly served his country in the Signal Corps. His service and dedication to his country were an important part of his life, and he will be honored with military honors at his services.


Viewing will be held at Dudley Memorial Mortuary on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. followed by services at Grandview Mausoleum at 2:00 p.m., with a military service.

Freddie is survived by his beloved wife Sue Vanhoozer; his daughter Leigh Anne Winicaties, her husband Jason, and their son Nathan; his stepdaughter, Rhonda Tracey, her husband Joe, and their daughters Candis Michaud (and her husband Grant, and their children Savannah, Jackson, and Kent) and Taylor Tracey and her son Cameron; and his sister Daisy Carroll.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Elizabeth; his son, Russell; and his siblings, Marvin, Phlegar, Nancy, Stuart, Donald Eugene, Ellen, Kenneth, Harry Vernon, Clyde, and Ross.


Freddie will be remembered by his family for the love, memories, and moments they shared throughout the years. His life was one of service, family, and the bonds that remain long after a loved one has passed.


May he rest in peace, and may his service to his country always be remembered with honor.
