Freda Kay Sorah, of Princeton, WV, was called home on August 2nd 2026. She was born on October 27th 1966, to the late Elmer Mullins and Virgie (Roberts) Mullins. Aside from her parents, she was proceeded in death by her belated husband Joseph Sorah, belated husband Randy Shields, brother Gene Autry Roberts, sister Dena Fay, sister Linna Mae Owens, brother Tracy Mullins, sister Laura Belle Hicks and nephew Sonny Boy Owens. Survivors include her four daughters, Tabitha (Bob) Stout, Samantha Short, Jeannie (Shea) Burleson, and Amber (Gavin) Sorah-Norwood, two grandchildren Kaedence Justice and Jasper Burleson, sister Bredia Gay (Randall) Gibson, brother Doug (Lorine) Mullins, Clinton (Pam) Mullins. A host of nephews and nieces: Randall Gibson Jr, Mitchell Gibson, Ross Riley, Candi Dawson, Chris Hicks, Jennifer James, Sherry Almoghamis, Carrie Bragg, Tony Mullins, Lisa Stacy, Amanda Mullins, Laura Mullins and Stephanie Perkins.
Freda was "the baby" of 9 siblings and loved to have that title. She was raised in Paynesville, WV for the earlier years of her life before moving several times. Growing up, Freda was mild natured and tender hearted. She married at the early age of 15 years old and started motherhood at 18 years of age. In her adult years, Freda Kay continued relocating to various states in her life but made Princeton, WV her home near her children. Freda Kay loved her children and above everyone else, her grandchildren. Shopping with her daughters and her grand baby Kaedence was her joy. She loved playing board games, painting, music, joking, doing her hair and nails and traveling. She enjoyed her sweets and coffee in the mornings, specifically with her grandbaby Kaedence. Her sisters were her bestfriends in life. Freda Kay took pride in her job at Southern Highlands Community Mental Health center working in the Day Program with clients who she cherished dearly. One of her favorite things to do at work was contributing to planting all the flowers in the greenhouse. She made an impact on every person she ever met. Freda Kay had a contagious smile and could always be seen cheering someone up with her kind words as she would always make the best of every moment. She was the best mother, grandmother, sister and friend any one could ever have. A private Celebration of Life will be held at the family's home im Princeton on August 5th 2026. Another life celebration will take place within the SHCMHC company for all of her coworkers and clients at a later date.
