Fred Frazier Grubb, Jr. 82, of Bluefield, Va. passed away Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2015 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born November 30, 1932 in Bluefield, Va. he was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Frazier Grubb, Sr. and Nannie Burchette Grubb and two Brothers Glen Grubb, Eugene Grubb and four grandchildren Timmothy Durham, Thomas Durham, Jimmy Wright and Jamie Luffman.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years Ruby Elaine Grubb and five children, Thomas Grubb, Michael Grubb and wife Jean, Betty Durham and husband Ricky, Freddy Grubb and wife April and Kenneth Grubb. Sister Joyce Grubb and ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
Mr. Grubb was a self-employed carpenter/contractor for most of his life.
The family will receive family and friends Friday, June 26, 2015 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary from 6 pm until 8pm. Services will be held Saturday June 27, 2015 at 11am at the Dudley Chapel with Thomas Patrick officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill cemetery in Bluefield, Va.
Pallbearers will be Michael Grubb II, Andy Durham, Toby Pennell, Billy Kinzer, Dustin Smith and Mikey Grubb. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Robertson, Bill Fields, Lonnie Johnson and Eric Johnson.
In lieu of flowers to honor Mr. Grubb donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association and the Heart Association.
