FRED (TOBY) HORTON DILLMAN

Fred (Toby) Horton Dillman, Jr. left his earthly home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2023. He was born October 24, 1944 and was the son of Fred Horton Dillman, Sr. and Lelia Delphine Janutolo Dillman.

Toby was a lifelong resident of Falls Mills, VA until 2018 when he went to reside in Gloucester, VA. He loved all animals, especially dogs. He was known to be a great game partner and was always willing to play a game of Rook or Aggravation. He was truly a simple man who enjoyed long walks, nature, and a good meal with family. He spent many years as an active member of the Church of Christ in Bluefield, VA. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Dillman, Sr. and mother Lelia Dillman. Left to cherish his memory are his dear sister Glenda Armentrout, brother Stanley Dillman, Sr., many special nieces and nephews, and many dear family and friends. The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff at Walter Reed Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center for the care that was provided to him in his final years. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to their local animal shelter in Toby's name.

Funeral service will be held Thursday May 18 ^th at 2:00 PM at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Mike Bales officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM till the hour of service with burial to follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers include Bruce Shepard III, D.J. Young, Bradley Young, Darrell Young, Michael Ray II and Michael Ray Sr.
