FERN "GRANNY" E. ROHRER

Fern "Granny" E. Rohrer, 92, of Lebanon, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 7, 2018. Born in Buchanan County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Josie Fletcher Elswick.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She was a seamstress and loved sewing. She enjoyed cooking and was a great cook.  She was of the Christian faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin Howard Rohrer; children: Alvin Howard Rohrer II and Ruth Marie Rohrer; grandson: Jason Rohrer; and all her siblings.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her children: Kenneth Rohrer (Debra) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Stewart Rohrer (Rebecca) of Richlands, VA and Susan Clevinger (Jerry) of Buchanan County, VA; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; special friend and caregiver: Brenda Estep. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Hummingbird Retirement Villa for the excellent care and attention they gave Mrs. Rohrer while she resided there.

A service to celebrate "Granny's" life will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Claypool Hill Church of Christ with Ministers Robert (Bob) Smith and Allen Gross officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Claypool  Hill Church of Christ from 6-8 P.M.
