EVELYN PRUETT MARTIN

Evelyn Pruett Martin, 86 of Falls Mills, VA, passed away at her home, Sunday, September 22, 2019 surrounded by her family. Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Vicie Pruett. She was a lifelong member of Falls Mills United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter Martin, Jr; son: Geary Filmore Martin; granddaughter: Montana Rose Martin; sister: Ruth Pruett Ruble.

Those left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Missy Martin and grandson Shane Martin (Amanda) and their mother, Donna Martin Jones (Nick), who was like a daughter to Evelyn; great-grandchildren: Kalop and Katlynn Riffe, McKinley, Ryland and Maddy Cogar, Madison, Little Shane and "Evelyn" Rose Martin; great great-grandchildren: Emberlin Riffe and Kaci Quesenberry; niece: Pam Ruble Butterworth; sister-in-law: Betty Blankenship; brother-in-law: Clayton Martin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Falls Mills United Methodist Church with Rev. Ted Anders and C.E. Sarver officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Falls Mills United Methodist Church from 6-8:00 P.M.
