EULA MAY PUTNAM
Eula May Putnam, 79 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022. Born in Buchanan County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Meadows Compton. She loved to be outside in the sun and enjoyed canning. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch in her rocking chair. She dearly loved her family and taking care of her grandchildren. Sunday meals were a favorite family event. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Willard and Ellen Harold Putnam; 2 siblings; grandson-in-law: Ron Spease; niece: Peggy Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 61 years: Delbert Putnam; children: Ann Bradberry and husband, David, Mary Hall and husband, William "Rock", Willie Putnam and girlfriend, Michelle Bailey and Trish Thompson and husband, Rodney; grandchildren: Marsha Spease, Susan "Susie" Whitt and husband, Joey, Josh Sawyers and wife, Rebecca, Dalton Hall and wife, Victoria, Jessica "Jessie" Hall, Daniel Putnam and wife, Kristin, Brett Puckett and wife, Kailaigh and Joseph Puckett; great-grandchildren: Chris, Brianna, Andrew, Nicholas, Drake, Conner, Eli, Corbin, Dawson, Amelia, Colton, Briar, Bella, Abigail, Adain, Brinleigh and Hayden; 10 siblings.
A service to celebrate Eula's life will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Steve Branch officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Josh Sawyers, Joseph Puckett, Daniel Putnam, Jessica Hall, Dalton Hall, Chris Spease, Andrew Spease and Joey Whitt will serve as pallbearers. David Bradberry, Rodney Thompson, William Hall, Mike Johnson, T.J. Johnson and Mikey Johnson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Dudley Memorial from 5-7 P.M.
