New Smyrna Beach
Ethel Pauline White.
12/22/1940-9/26/2022
Pauline went on to be with the Lord on Monday, September 26 th , while at home surrounded by family. She went peacefully in her sleep. She is now rejoicing with the angels and beholding the Lord in all his Glory.
Mom was a virtuous woman, and her daughters call her blessed. She taught us to pray and to believe in God. Her childhood shaped her into the strongest woman we know. Her faith in God along with her love for our family was a lesson to all, as to how we should live our lives. We won't call her a rose because roses have thorns she was a mustard seed, a lillie of the valley for us all. We looked at her as an eagle, strong, unique, and majestic. There will never be another like her. Mom is now singing praises to the Lord and seeing all the loved ones gone on before.
She was a beautiful soul who love to tell jokes and spread sunshine everywhere she went. She told everyone about Jesus in a gentle loving way. She loved Facebook because it opened up a huge world of new people to make friends with. She even found some awesome preachers and singers for Dad to use in church. Always the cut up, she loved to be picked on but not agitated, she said it meant you were loved. She was quiet most of the time and read more than most knew. If you were friends, she thought of you often and she kept in touch the best she could. Her life was dedicated to her family and always supported Dad in prayer. She loved flowers of every kind, having more than 30 on her back porch alone. She definitely had a green thumb. She was also quiet the seamstress.
She was born into a family of 11. Her parents were William Claiborne Squires Sr and Ethel Costley Squires who both preceded her in death. She had five brothers, four of whom preceded her in death and two sisters, who are both still living. She was born and raised in Chesterfield County Virginia. Then she met Dad and started a new life as a wife, a mother, and a preacher's wife when Dad entered the ministry full time.
November 15, 1958, her life changed when she met Bishop William Thomas White. They knew right away it was meant to be. So six weeks later, on December 20, 1958, just two days before she turned eighteen, they were married. They had four beautiful daughters, all of whom are still living Ruby Pauline Kammer of St Albans, West Virginia, Rebecca Sue Cochrane of New Smyrna Beach, Florida Retha Elizabeth Gardner of Keedysville ,Maryland, and Regina Lynn Cunningham of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She had 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Mason Carl Jr. She also had countless nieces and nephews whom she held dearly.
A service to celebrate Pauline's life will be held Saturday, October 08, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bluefield Virginia Church of God with Rev. Tony Ellis officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Grandview Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Bluefield Virginia Church of God between the hours of 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
