EMMA ELIZABETH BLEVINS

Emma Elizabeth Blevins, 83, of The Maples, Bluefield, WV, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Emma was born on October 5, 1934 at Mayport, PA and was the daughter of the late Ralph Erwin and Rhoda Luella Young.  Emma graduated from Brookville High School, Brookville, PA.  Her life work experience included Telephone Operator for Bell PA in Brookville, PA for 12 years.  After she moved to Bluefield, WV, Emma went to work as a Telephone Operator for the General Telephone Company.  She retired as a Dispatcher after 22 years of service.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Young.  Emma is survived by many special friends in the Bluefield area and members of her church family of Edgemont Baptist in Bluefield, WV.

There will be no public visitation. Graveside rites will be conducted Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Rick Farmer officiating.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Maple Hill Chapel no later than 10:50 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Edgemont Baptist Church, Bluefield, WV.
