ELLA BOWEN BELCHER

Ella Bowen Belcher, 91 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home. Born in Tazewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late William and Lilly Ellen Kinder Remines.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She was a member of the Midway Christian Church.  Ella loved being a homemaker and seeing to the needs of her family.  She collected angel figurines.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Haynes Luther Belcher; siblings: Clyde, Stuart, James, William (Shorty), Bill, and Oscar (Doc) Remines and Katie Hill; 3 great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Doug Cook; extended family: Edwin Brooks.

She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her daughters: Carolyn Cook of Bluefield, VA and Judy Belcher of King, NC; grandchildren: Robbie Cook, Mike Cook (Robin), Douglas Cook (Marsha), Paul Bowling, Michelle Spainhour (Joel); 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Imogene Remines; special friend: Connie Birkholtz; numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Ella's life will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Minister Dan Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens with grandsons and family serving as pallbearers.  Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service.
