EDNA NEEL BONE
Edna Neel Bone, 89 of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Born in Bluefield, VA, she was the daughter of the late John E and Vesta W Lambert Neel. She was a graduate of Graham High School and was retired from Appalachian Power Company. Edna attended First United Methodist Church, Bluefield, VA. She loved shopping. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L Bone, Sr and her son, Harold L Bone Jr; brothers: Raymond Neel and Jack Neel; sisters: Ailene Hale and Pauline Hawkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Marsha Houchins and husband, Jim of Bluefield, WV; grandson: Travis Houchins and wife, Crystal of Bluefield, VA; Daughter-in-law: Alice Bone of Pauley's Island, SC; granddaughter: Tracey Smith and husband, Woody of Pauley's Island, SC; grandchildren: Abigail and Annabelle Houchins of Bluefield, VA, William and Julia Kier of Pauley's Island, SC; sister: Shirley Sargent of Columbus, OH; special fur baby: Barney; numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Edna's life will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Rev Ray Amos and Rev. Brad Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Monte-Vista Park Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at Dudley Memorial.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staffs of Kissito Health Care, Bastian, VA and Hospice of Southwest Virginia for the loving care and compassion given to Mrs. Bone in her sickness.
