EDGAR EUGENE KINDER

Edgar Eugene Kinder, 87 of Bristol, TN and formerly of Bluefield, VA, passed away Friday, December 01, 2023 at American House Bristol, Bristol, TN.  Born in Tazewell County, VA, he was the son of the late Earnest E. and Pearl May Patton Kinder.  He graduated from Graham High School and took Vocational School for autobody mechanics. He served his country in the United States Army.  Eugene enjoyed working with wood and was an excellent electrician.  He helped build Mountain View Church, where he was a member for years.  More recently, he attended and was a member of Springville Christian Church. He worked for Carmett Electric in Bluefield, VA and for several electric companies in Indiana, where he built electric motors. He also worked for Kersey Manufacturing Company and Bluefield Casket Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Jack Kinder and Linda Kinder Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his precious wife of 63 years: Imogene Powers Kinder; siblings: Leroy Kinder of Ohio and Hilda Kinder Puckett of N. Tazewell, VA; several nieces and nephews; and his wife's family who loved him very much and learned a lot from him.

A service to celebrate Eugene's life will be held on Monday, December 04, 2023 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with Minister Tony Reed officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of the service.
