DOUGLAS MARK FARMER
Douglas Mark Farmer, 58 of Princeton, WV passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Henry and Carrie Akers Farmer. He loved riding motorcycles and trading cars. Most of his days were enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Donnie, Everett and Carl "Butch" Farmer.
Those left to cherish his memory are daughters: Brandy Pokorney and husband, Chris of Bluefield, WV and Deborah Farmer of Princeton, WV; brothers: Mike Farmer and wife, Vickie of Bluefield, WV and Wayne Farmer and wife, Tammy of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren: Kristin Burkhart, Lcpl Timothy Burkhart, Jr, Jacob Farmer, Braydyn Farmer and Amiya Ponder; best friend and mother of his daughters: Patty Farmer Derry; special friends: Ronnie Williams and Leland "Baye" Marchant; numerous nieces and nephews; Jody Woodward , a special friend who gave him the greatest gift of all, LIFE (recipient of donated Kidney)
A service celebrating Doug's life will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev Danny Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy Burkhart, Jacob Farmer, Baye Marchant, Ronnie Williams, David Beck and Howard Call. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dudley Memorial Mortuary to help the family with funeral expenses.
