DORIS RAE MEEKS

Doris Rae Meeks, 88, of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 20, 2022.                                    Born in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late George Allen and Velma Muncy Coeburn.   On August 29, 1953, she married the late Claude Robert Meeks.  Doris spent most of her life in Bluefield, VA and was employed at Sealy Mattress Company for many years.  She was a homemaker and taught Sunday School and Bible School for years at the Children's Temple Mission.  Doris was a member of Living Water Fellowship Church.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings: George Allen (Bud) Coeburn and Edward H. Coeburn and Charlotte Sandifer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: David W. Meeks of Winfield, WV, Therrin (Terry) Allen Meeks and wife Regina of Bluefield, VA, Kenneth C. Meeks of Bluefield, VA and Matt Peery of Bluefield, VA; siblings: Reene French and Michael Coeburn; grandchildren: William (Bill) Meeks of Wallingford, KY, Tonya Meeks of Blandchester, OH, Angela Meeks of Troy, MI, Hope and Tiffany Nicole Meeks of Luray, VA, David and Michael Meeks of Bluefield, VA and Katie Peery of Bluefield, VA.

A service to celebrate Doris' life will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 at 12:00 P.M.  at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastors Kathy Hagerman and Buck Hagerman officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening at Dudley Memorial from 5-7:00 P.M.
