DORIS LEE HANSHAW COLLINS

Doris Lee Hanshaw Collins, 90, of Wolfe, WV, went to be with our Lord and Savior early Monday morning, February 03, 2025 at Princeton Community Hospital.  Doris was born on May 08, 1934 to Flem Ezekiel Hanshaw and Rosa Elizabeth Walk Hanshaw. Doris loved her family deeply.  Doris was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and loved the Lord and singing and writing gospel songs. She always put others first and was the heart of her family.  Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jackson Lee Collins, Sr; daughter: Virginia (Jennie) Elizabeth Collins Bell; brothers: Elmer Ray Hanshaw, Denny David Hanshaw, George Otis Hanshaw and Ralph Banard Hanshaw; sister: Hazel Marie Hanshaw Stroupe; and twin brother and sister: Flem Hanshaw, Jr and Yuvonne Hanshaw.

Survivors include her children: Debbie Blaskowski of Bluefield, WV, Jackson Collins, Jr of Wolfe, WV, Sharon Johnson (Billy) of Green Valley, WV, Terry Collins of Wolfe, WV, Drema Collins Odell of Nemours, WV and Danny Ray Collins of Princeton, WV; grandchildren: Onshawn Beavers (Justin) of Welch, WV, Grady Persinger Jr of Falls Mills, VA, Angela Christensen (Shaun) of Chippewa Falls, WI, Brian Blaskowski (Nikki) of Eau Claire, WI, Brandy Pritchett (Lance) of Princeton, WV, Brittany Cosby (Vince) of Princeton, WV, Billy Chea Johnson of Green Valley, WV, Jackson Collins III (Alida) of Wolfe, WV and Misty Collins of Bluefield, WV; great-grandchildren: Jaime, Jenna, Kaylee, Cheyenne, Genevieve, Abram, Autumn, Alan, Ayden, Bryson, Ella, Jayda, Amya, Taiya, Miyana an Raylan; special nephew: Roger Stroupe (Betty); a true son of heart: Mark Blaskowski; a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Doris' wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service.

Revelation 21: 4-5:  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things have passed away.  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
