DONNA MARIE MATHENA

Donna Marie Mathena, 65, of Bluefield Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday February 26 ^th , 2023 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born October 4 ^th 1957, she was the daughter of the late James and Patty Mathena. In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her siblings, Randy Mathena and Connie Breeden. Baby nephew, Randall Michael Scott.

Donna spent several years in childcare. She took care of numerous children in her lifetime, loving each of them as if they were her own. Donna loved spending time with her family and vacationing to the beach. She also enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family and friends.

Left the cherish her memory are sisters, Teresa Scott and husband Michael. Tabatha Blackwell and husband Brian. Niece Kayla Nelson and three boys, Hawken, Talon, and Soren. Niece Kora Blackwell and husband Daniel Bradley Jr. and their daughter Journey Blackwell-Bradley. Nieces Emily Blackwell, Alexis Blackwell, Carrie Blake, and Brandy Hall. Nephews Jason Breeden and Cory Breeden. Cousin and best friend, Debbie Wimmer and close family friend Michelle Hager.

The family would like to thank the staff at Princeton Community Hospital CCU Department for their excellent care.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM, Thursday, March 2 ^nd , 2023 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, VA where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Asbury officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. The Bluefield Virginia Fire Department and the Tazewell County EMS will serve as pallbearers.
