DOCK JEFFERS

Dock Jeffers, 84 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  Born on March 01, 1938, Dock was one of 9 children born to the late Emmitt and Effie Jeffers.  He was a devoted husband of 62 years to his late wife, Vaughan Jeffers, whom he loved dearly.  He was also an incredible father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He enjoyed gardening, working on vehicles, racing, helping others, spending time with his family and participating in many church activities.  Before retiring, he also enjoyed working in the coal mines.  When it came to Dock, his love for God and his family came before anything else.  He was without a doubt the rock of the family and was always someone you could count on.  He was also an active member of the East River Church.  Dock was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Vaughan Jeffers: 5 brothers: Golden Jeffers, Goldsie (Buck) Jeffers, Pearl Jeffers, Grady Jeffers and Andrew (Toug) Jeffers; 3 sisters: Goldie Gonzales, Betty Worley and Jewel Clay.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter: Sherri Brown and her husband, Randy of Palm Bay, FL; two sons: Steve Jeffers and his wife, Tammy of Tazewell, VA and Billy Jeffers and his wife, Libby of Tazewell, VA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; many beloved friends and church members.
