DAVID '"COTTON" WILLIAM ANGLES
David "Cotton" William Angles, 62 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home. Born in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Sam William and Ruby Keen Angles. Cotton was a 1971 graduate of Graham High School, a member of the Mid-Way Christian Church and a lifetime member of the Bluefield Virginia Rescue Squad. An avid sports enthusiast, he coached various little league teams, served as assistant golf coach at Graham High School, and loved being an umpire and a referee for various sporting events. He was a huge Hokie fan, loved to read and volunteered many hours with the Pet Haven Rescue Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law: James Crews and Don Pack and special friend: Dewey Cordle.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Donita McCroskey Angles; his children: Allyson Angles of Roanoke, VA and Kevin Angles of Radford, VA; sisters: Frances Crews and companion, Richard Koloff of Oviedo, FL, Margaret Pack and companion, Eugene Consolvo of Chesapeake, VA, Nancy White and companion, Tommy Grant of Bluefield, WV; brothers-in-law: James McCroskey and wife, Debbie of Burleson, TX, Frankie McCroskey and wife, Anita of Kernersville, NC and David White of Bristol, VA; an extended family of nieces and nephews and their families.
A service to celebrate Cotton's life will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Minister Dan Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeremy White, Matthew White, Brian Crews, Steve Remines, Terry Kirk, Gary Williams, Steve Slade, Larry Turner and John Crist. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Mabry and Steve Ruble. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Dudley Memorial Mortuary from 6-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pet Haven Rescue Center or the American Red Cross.
