DAVID VERNON LOWE
David Vernon Lowe, 59 was called home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was a long time resident of Glenwood Nursing Home and had formerly lived in Bluefield, VA. He was the son of the late Juanita Garland Lowe. David was a 1975 graduate of Graham High School and had also graduated from Bluefield State College, where he obtained his B.S. in Accounting. He had worked for Tazewell County Schools as a custodian. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going fishing, camping and shooting pool. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie "Susie" Lowe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Erica Lawless and her wife, Angela; granddaughter: Cameron "Turkey Bird" Francis; grandson: David "Drum Stick" Hurt; brother: Eric "Robert" Lowe and wife, Vicky all of Bluefield, VA; and an extended family of nieces and nephews and many friends.
A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Minister Tony Reed officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the Dudley Memorial from 6:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will take place at a later date.
The family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent, but rather, donations be made to Dudley Memorial to help with funeral expenses.
