DAVID RAY CARVER, SR

David Ray Carver, Sr, 67 of Bluefield, VA, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 15, 2021. Born in Red Hollow in McComas, WV, he was the son of the late Sherman Edward Carver (Booge) and Iva Lee Tiller Jenkins. David loved going to car shows with his orange Camaro and working with wood in his shop. He loved life and always made sure his family was provided for. He was a lovable person who never met a stranger and he will truly be missed by all who knew him. David retired from WV Paving in 2015.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: William Carver and Dexter Carver; a sister: Connie Coeburn.

David leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 45 years: Teresa Poore Carver; daughter: Bethanie Carver; sons: Davy Carver (Angel), Chris Carver (Cheyanne), Derrick Carver (Linsie) and Errick Carver (girlfriend, Katilyn); sisters: Francis Kade and Shelia Auton (Larry); brother: Elbert "Boo" Jenkins (Jamie); David loved all his 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. David will be missed by all of his friends, a special one in particular, his buddy, Earnie Fisher.

The family invites you to visit with them on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Dudley Memorial for a visitation from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated. David's friends will honor him by driving their prize vehicles through town Wednesday night during the visitation.
