David Walter
Bogle
Mar 27, 1980 — Dec 14, 2025
David Walter Bogle March 27, 1980 - December 14, 2025 It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Walter Bogle, who left this Earthly home on December 14, 2025. David was born in the town of Bluefield, WV and graduated from Graham High School. David continued his education at Bluefield College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. David was a man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His family called him by many names. David's father, David Mac Bogle, whom he loved wholeheartedly called him "fatboy" and his grandmother who meant so much to him would call him "little Walter". His five beautiful children, whom he loved and cherished so much, called him "dad, daddy, and "big-babe". David was a protector, provider, and a huge source of unconditional love for his family. He carried himself with quiet resilience, humility, and strength. His presence shaped the lives of those closest to him in enduring ways. While he carried many roles throughout his life, being a father and family man was always the center of who he was. In 2006, David joined the United States Army, serving until 2010 as an Infantryman. During his service, he was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military service went above and beyond and reflected his extreme courage, discipline, and dedication to his country. Following his time in the Army, David dedicated his professional life to a career in law enforcement, serving his community with integrity, commitment, and a strong sense of duty. Despite the demands of his work, he remained humble, grounded, and fair, never seeking recognition for his prestigious accomplishments. Beyond his military service, David found meaning and enjoyment in the hobbies and interests that made him feel most like himself. He found peace in the simple things- especially time spent at Burkes Garden with his family, where he was taught to deer hunt by his father, as well as spending time at the General Store, where he found much solace. David also loved the many
greenhouses there, where he gathered flowers and various plants for his home. He enjoyed smoking food on his Blackstone, making memories with his "kiddos," and cheering on his favorite football teams – the Indianapolis Colts and currently, the Tennessee Volunteers. Go VOLS! David is preceded in death by his dearest father, David Mac Bogle and his caring grandmother, Mildred Cregger, a very special family friend Leonard Crawford, and his faithful canine companion, Addie. Left to cherish David's memory are his children, Kaleb Blake Johnson, "Kah-leeb," Gracie Danielle Bogle, "Babygirl," Peyton James Bogle, "Buddy," Brianna Hope Ferguson "Little Babe," and Mac David Bogle "Little Macky." David is also survived by his loving wife Angie Bogle and by his precious sister, Lauren Nicole Martin, "Piglet," and her husband Aaron. As well as his close extended family, his true and dearest friends, and many others in the community. We know David has found peace and rest. His strength, love, and presence will never be forgotten. In accordance with David's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service held.
