DAVID LEE AMBURN
David Lee Amburn, 90 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015. He was born March 16, 1925 in Pulaski, VA and was the son of the late P. S. and Ada Mae Amburn. He was in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 and returned home to graduate from Graham High School in 1947. He was a truck driver for Keebler Company for 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends and watching Nascar and Virginia Tech football. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Preston, Edward and Dick Amburn and sisters, Ruby Land, Ada Mae Dodson and Bonnie Weiser.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Barbara Amburn; daughter: Brenda Nash and husband, Mark; son: Joe Amburn and wife, Martha; sister: Doris Tabor and many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate David's life will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Grandview Memory Mausoleum Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Sprinkle officiating. Military grave side rites will be conducted by the VFW Post #9696 and the Pocahontas American Legion #14. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel from 1:00 p.m. til the hour of service. Dudley Memorial is serving the Amburn family.
