Went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at his home with his loving family by his side.  He was born May 15, 1936, in Falls Mills, Virginia, the son of William Tracie and Viola Mae (Chandler) Bailey.  Dallas proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years receiving an Honorable Discharge.  He retired from General Motors Assembly Division (Willow Run) in 1989 after 30 years.  He was a member and Past Master of Phoenix Lodge #13 F&AM, and a longtime member of Graceway Baptist Church in Ypsilanti.  He will always be remembered for his love of sports; especially Detroit Lions, U of M Football and an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Aileen Roberts Bailey; daughters: Chris (John) Dudley, Deanna (Keith) Dietrich and Tracie (Keith) Eason; step-children: Johnny (Georgia) Roberts, Yvonne (Tom) Haag, Darryl Roberts, Eddie (Janice) Roberts; brother, Ellis Bailey; sisters: Opie Forbes and Libby Pace; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and his fur baby companion, Cheyanne.   Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 10 , 2021,at Dudley Memorial Chapel Bluefield VA at 2:00 PM with Pastor Donnie Bailey , son-in-law John Dudley and Mercer County Honor Guard officiating.   Interment will take place in Bailey Family Cemetery in Falls Mills, Virginia.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until hour of service.
