COLIN KELLY GILLESPIE

Colin Kelly Gillespie, 83 of Bluefield, WV, passed away Friday, August 08, 2025 at Princeton Community Hospital.  Born in Gratton, VA, he was the son of the late Roscoe Gillespie and Myrtle Steele Gillespie.  He enlisted in the United States Navy and was transferred to the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served in the "Medical Corps" during the Vietnam War. He was employed for over 40 years for Citizens Communications, retiring 14 years ago. Colin liked to read, especially things having to do with War and Politics and he liked the music of the 60's era.  He loved family dinners and sitting on the front porch sharing conversations and laughs with his friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bill Howard Gillespie, Joseph Floyd Gillespie and Nancy Steele.

Colin will be sadly missed by his wife of 33 years: Mary Johnson Gillespie; his sister: Linda Ann Rybacki and husband, Phillip of Daleville, VA; his stepdaughter: Orena Dawn Cox of Bluefield, WV; and his special fur baby: Rusty.

A service to celebrate Colin's life will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. James Mooney officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Dudley Memorial from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
