CLYDE ALLEN WOLFORD

Clyde Allen Wolford, 85, of Broadford, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 29, 2022.  Born in Honaker, VA, he was the son of the late Kaney Kyle and Elgie Bell Price Wolford.  He was a member of the Living Church of God for over 50 years.  He enjoyed watching westerns and Hee Haw.  He had retired from Kroger Company.  Clyde married the love of his life, Dorothy Mae Pardue Wolford on March 20, 1958. They shared 64 years of marriage until her passing in September 2022.  He took personal pride in seeing to her every happiness.  In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by his sisters: Lorraine Wolford and Arlene Rasnake and a sister-in-law: Carl Wolford.

Clyde will be lovingly and affectionately missed by his 6 children: Clyde Allen Wolford, Jr and his wife, Mary of Springville, VA, Rhonda Gayle Whited and husband, Keith of Wardell, VA, Jeanne Suzette Vanhoozer and husband, Alvin of Saltville, VA, Patricia Ann Melvin and husband, Jimmy of Delmar, DE, William Samuel Wolford and wife, Bobbie Jo of Tannersville, VA and Jennifer Robin Little of Broadford, VA; his brothers: Farley Wolford of Atlanta, GA, Dewey Wolford and wife, Janice of Marietta, GA and Clifford Wolford and wife, Kat of North Tazewell, VA; brother-in-law: Conley Rasnake of Madisonville, TN; his grandchildren: Mariah Lee and husband, Derek, Kyle Wolford, Kurt Wolford and wife, Bailey, Amber Hunnel and husband, Roger, Brady Vanhoozer and wife, Zana, Daniella Vanhoozer, Reed Vanhoozer, Ashleigh Moore and husband, David, Katie Melvin, Jessica Novak and husband, Jake, Hannah Wolford, Heather Wolford, Suzanna Little and a special grandson, Seth Little; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 expected; 3 great great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Clyde's life will be held Sunday, January 01, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lenny Bower officiating.  Clyde will be laid to rest beside his wife at Grandview Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Kyle Wolford, Brady Vanhoozer, Reed Vanhoozer, Seth Little, Allen Wolford, Jr and Billy Wolford.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at Dudley Memorial from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
