CLARENCE EUGENE "Buster" HOOPS, SR.

Clarence Eugene "Buster" Hoops, Sr, 69, of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home. Born in Tip Top, VA, he was the son of the late Sam and Laura Lewis Hoops. He was a member of the Tip Top Church of God. He loved to hunt and had an avid passion for any and all animals. He retired from N & S Railroad after 37 years of service. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Brianna Matison Hoops; and siblings: Roy Hoops, Trula Johnson, Eula Johnson, Clara Williams, Janice Smith, Eleanor McFadden, Rosie Farmer, Buddy Hoops and 2 infant siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of almost 49 years: Shelby Price Hoops of the home; children: Kimberly Lawless and companion, Nick Fedzen of Carmichaels, PA, Chuck Hoops and wife, Jessica of Bluefield, VA and Kevin Hoops and companion, Eunice Roark of North Tazewell, VA; brother-in-law: Jim Smith of Tip Top, VA; grandchildren: Tara Lawless, Brandon Lawless and Gavin Hoops.

A service to celebrate Buster's life will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 12:00 P.M. with Rev Mark B. McFadden and Mac McGraw officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens. Michael Smith, Alvin Smith, Devin May, Billy Beavers, Jerry Beavers and Ken Roark will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Dudley Memorial from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
