CLARENCE EUGENE CREGGER

Clarence Eugene Cregger, 83 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025.  Born in Smythe County, VA, he was the son of the late Paul Clinton and Vicie Gray Puckett Cregger.  Clarence retired from Grandview Memory Gardens where he was part of the grounds crew that took care of the cemetery.  He also enjoyed flea marketing, yard sales, working outdoors in the yard and watching westerns on television. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Edna Louise Cregger and his siblings: Robert Cregger, Sam Cregger, Lee Cregger, Bill Cregger, James Cregger, Ross Cregger, Rush C. Cregger Sr., Ruth Fields and Peggy York.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Mary Bennett of Seattle, WA and Irma Walthall of Fredericksburg, VA; son: Donnie Cregger of Springville, VA; daughter: Nancy Harman and husband, Mike of Tazewell, VA; granddaughter: Michelle Miller and husband, Nathan of Baptist Valley, VA; great-grandsons: Hunter and J.D.; special brother-in-law: Jimmy Brown of Tazewell, VA; host of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Clarence's wishes, the family will only have a graveside service on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Grandview Memory Gardens.  The family will officiate the service. There will be no public visitation.  Friends wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Grandview Memory Gardens no later than 12:45 P.M.
