CLARA MAE FIFE

Clara Mae Fife, 76, of Bluefield, Virginia, died peacefully Wednesday, November 8,

2023, at her home. Born on August 1, 1947, in LongPole, WV, of McDowell County, she

was the daughter of the late Norma Willard Stutphin and granddaughter of the late

Sonny and Grace Lambert. In addition, she was preceded in death by Addie Sue

Lambert Lockhart, who was like her sister, and Clyde (C.D.) Lockhart, Brother In-Laws,

Doc Fife (Hester), Tom Fife (Anne), and Roy Fife (Frances), Sister In-Law Nancy

Whitman (Charlie), and one nephew, Tommy Fife of Myrtle Beach, SC. Clara graduated

from Iaeger High School and attended Bluefield State University. Following her

graduation, Clara went on to have a very successful real estate career. She was the

broker and co-owner of Herritage Properties, along with Charlotte Perdue. Clara was

the second female president of the Bluefield Sales Executive Club. Clara was also an

active supporter of many community activities including United Way of Bluefield.

Following her retirement after a long career, Clara loved traveling with her family and

spending time with her granddaughters. Survivors include the love of her life, her

husband of 54 years, Robert Rusty Fife, daughter Lisa Fife McCaskill, and husband

Brian of Camden, South Carolina. Two granddaughters, who were her EVERYTHING,

Margaret Grace McCaskill and Clara Ann McCaskill. Loved nieces Barbara Sofield

(Rich) of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Debbie Quesada (Ray) of Florence,

South Carolina, Beth Fife of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Paula Ross of Bluefield,

Virginia. Clara is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. A service to

celebrate the life of Clara Fife will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M

at Dudley Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Gary Lyons. Entombment will follow at

Grandview Memorial in Bluefield, Virginia. Friends may visit with the family on Monday

from 12 P.M. until the time of service. Online condolences may be shared with the family

Parris, Barry Perdue, Bill Perry, Jody Fuller, and Bryan Miller will serve as Pallbearers
