CHERYL ANN CARBAUGH
Cheryl Ann Carbaugh of Bluefield, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 12th after a short illness at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on May 29th, in Bluefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Henderson and Charlotte Asbury Carbaugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wayne Carbaugh and grandparents, Daniel Gregory and Margaret Neel Carbaugh and William Alexander and Dora Griffith Asbury. Cheryl enjoyed her childhood in Pounding Mill, VA before moving to Bluefield, VA.
She was a proud graduate of Graham High School, class of 1964, the Bluefield Sanitarium School of Radiologic Technology and attended Bluefield College. She was an active member of Graham Christian Church and served in various capacities.
Survivors include cousins: Norma Smith, Barbara McCarty, Mary Margaret Hooper, Rodger Thomas, Betty Jo Worrel, Sue Starling, Judy Hall, Bill Sampson, Tony Asbury and Rhonda Cregger. She was Godmother to 5 that she loved very much. She had friends that were like family including: Ann Whittaker, Dana Buzzo, Betty Smoot Austin, Wanda Bourne, Zella Denham, Carol Fowler, Brenda Austin, Clara Lawrence and the late Charlotte Taylor.
Services will be Thursday, November, 17, 2016 at Graham Christian Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev Gary Lyons officiating. Friends may call at the church Thursday from 12:00 noon until the hour of the service. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
