CHARLES RICHARD GEARHEART, SR.

Charles Richard Gearheart, Sr, 77, of Hemlock Way, Bluefield, VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, surrounded by his family at WVU Princeton Community Hospital.  He was born in Bluefield, WV and was the son of the late John Gearheart and Beatrice Lorraine Gearheart.  Alongside his wife, Teddy Ann, he was the owner/operator of Graham Floral in Bluefield, VA and later, Old Dominion Florist in Tazewell, VA. He attended Bluefield High School in Bluefield, WV.  He left school to join the United States Army.  He was a member of the Fraternal  Order of the Eagles in Bluefield, WV and the Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge in Tazewell, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Theodora "Teddy Ann" Gearheart; siblings: John, Jimmy, Acie and Wanda; sister-in-law: Virginia Mae (Ginny) Steele; brother-in-law: George Steele.

He is survived by his only child, a son: Charles Richard Gearheart, Jr and wife, Becky; grandchildren: Victoria and Christian; sisters: Pat, Sharon and Betty; girlfriend and caregiver: Karen Hayes; many nephews and nieces.

The family will observe a private graveside service with Pastor Phillip White officiating.
