Carol Marrs Scott (formerly Carol Marrs Pruett) 69 years old of Springville, VA passed
away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was of the Christian faith.
Carol was born May 15, 1956, in Bluefield, WV to Orrin and Kathleen Marrs. She was a
1974 graduate of Graham High School.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Orrin Marrs and sister Kimberly Mutter.
Carol is survived by her children, daughter Angela Sluss and husband Neil of
Pittsburgh, PA, son Ryan Pruett and wife Ashley of Radford, VA as well as her mother
Kathleen Marrs, brother Roger Marrs and wife Linda of Springville, VA, sister Lisa
Justus and husband Tim of Falmouth KY. Her grandchildren, Dean Sluss and wife
Karen, Sabrina Sluss and Brayden Pruett also great granddaughter Ivy Stevens. Nieces
and nephews Andrea, Caitlin, Darrel, Laura, TJ, Rachel and Seth. She is also survived
by many great nieces and nephews as well as numerous cousins.
Carol loved her family, friends, God, cats and crocheting.
Services for Carol will be on Wednesday October 29, 2025, at Graham Christian Church
in Bluefield. VA. Viewing for family will be from 11-12 friends are welcome after 12.
Funeral services begin at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make donations to
Second Chance for Cats in Bluefield, WV.
