CAROL ANN JACKSON
Carol Ann Jackson, Bluefield, Virginia, died on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at her home in Falls Mills, Virginia. Born January 23, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Marszalek. Carol loved God, her family, and her church family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated from Southwest Virginia Community College with a degree in Food Service Management. She moved to New York City in 1958 to later become a Radio City Rockett. She worked at Graham High School in the cafeteria for 31 years. She loved to cook, especially for her family and church family. She regularly attended Brushfork First Church of God. She loved serving the Lord and her church. Her most favorite thing to do was spend time with her family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carol will be dearly remembered and missed by her devoted daughter Shellie Hartley and her husband, Mark Hartley of Bluefield, Virginia and her devoted two sons Kenneth D. Jackson, Jr. and wife, Sheila Jackson of Neenah, Wisconsin and Rodney Jackson and wife Karen Jackson of Abingdon, Virginia. She is survived by many nieces and nephews all of whom she dearly loved.
She was a devoted and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Emily Bailey (husband, Logan), Alison Mosko (husband, Nick), Heath Hartley (fiancé', Chelsey), Brady Jackson, Karly Jackson, Katelyn Pinnow (husband, Samuel), step grandchildren Hannah and Layton Henry. Three great grandchildren, Audrey & Elliana Hartley, Carner Mosko and a soon to be great grandchild, Addalee Pinnow. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were as precious as gold to her.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be conducted from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Dudley Memorial Mortuary with Pastor Jared Mitchell officiating. Carol will be escorted to her final resting place at Grandview Memorial Garden Cemetery in Bluefield, Virginia. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Heath Hartley and Brady Jackson, nephews – Claude (Macky) Farmer, Jr., Mark Farmer, Kevin Weeks, Keith Weeks, son in law, Mark Hartley, and honorary son, Clay Fowler. Those attending the graveside service are requested to meet at the cemetery.
