CARLUS EUGENE TAYLOR

Carlus Eugene Taylor, 88 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Sunday, June 09, 2024 at Princeton Community Hospital.  Born in Tazewell, VA, he was the son of the late John Russell and Ella Rose Hall Taylor.  Carlus was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.  He had retired from Platnick Steel and Engineering after more than 50 years of service as a truck driver.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching baseball, particularly the Pittsburg Pirates. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ovella Holbrook Taylor; his brothers: Richard, Howard, Joe and Bill; his sisters: Arvella Asbury, Thelma Osborne, Mozell Turley and his twin, Nelcene Holbrook.

He will be lovingly missed by his only child, daughter: Carleen Meadows of Bluefield, VA; his siblings: John Taylor of Ocala, FL and Peggy Thompson of Max Meadows, VA; grandchildren: Gene Meadows and Tabitha Meadows both of Bluefield, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Eugene' life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Dudley Memorial Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Geary Jonas and Dennis McLemore officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service.
